Ladder in GRP / FRP

Limitations of Traditional Scales

aluminium ladders

Aluminum ladders are electrically conductive, making them extremely dangerous for work near power lines, live equipment, or in electrical environments. They deform and dent upon impact, lose their structural rigidity over time, and can corrode in chemical or coastal environments. Their high thermal conductivity makes them scorching hot in the sun and freezing cold in winter, reducing user safety and comfort. They require regular maintenance to preserve their integrity.

steel ladders

Steel is heavy, conducts electricity, and is highly susceptible to rust in humid or chemical environments. Corrosion weakens the bars and uprights, creating a risk of breakage. The heavy weight makes handling difficult and tiring, increasing the risk of falls. Steel requires regular anti-rust treatments (galvanizing, painting), which are costly in terms of both time and money.

wooden ladders

Wood rots, cracks, and is attacked by insects and fungi in humid environments. It absorbs moisture, which increases its weight and reduces its mechanical strength. Wood is flammable and can degrade rapidly under UV exposure. It requires chemical treatments (fungicides, fire retardants) that are not very environmentally friendly and regular maintenance.

GRP/FRP Ladders – Safety and corrosion resistance

GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) ladders are the gold standard in industrial safety for working at height. Made from high-quality fiberglass impregnated with thermosetting resins (polyester, vinyl ester, or epoxy), these ladders combine lightness, exceptional mechanical strength, and absolute electrical safety. Compliant with OSHA and EN 131 standards, they are designed for the most demanding environments.

Our range includes: Single (straight) ladders, Double-sided ladders (step ladders), Telescopic ladders, Access ladders/inspection ladders, Step ladders, Mobile platform ladders, Safety cage ladders, and Extension ladders. Available in high-visibility colors (yellow, orange, green, blue) for quick identification and enhanced safety.

Frequently asked questions

At MJS NEGOCE, we understand that choosing composite materials for your projects can raise many questions. To best support you, we have compiled answers to the most frequently asked questions from our clients. This section is designed to provide you with clear and transparent information about our GRP/FRP products, our lead times, warranties, and technical support. Our goal is to eliminate any uncertainty and allow you to make confident decisions, knowing you are working with a reliable and experienced partner.

What are your delivery times? Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast

Yes. All our GRP/PRV composites are certified according to ISO and ASTM standards. Each batch is audited and inspected before shipment. We guarantee complete traceability of raw materials and strict compliance with manufacturing standards.

Unlike steel, wood, or aluminum, our composites offer:

  • Complete corrosion resistance (ideal for coastal or industrial areas).
  • Exceptional lightness (75% lighter than steel).
  • A lifespan exceeding 50 years with virtually no maintenance.
  • Enhanced safety thanks to their non-conductivity (electrical and thermal).
  • Cost-effectiveness over the entire lifecycle, as maintenance costs are minimized.

Yes. We don't just sell materials. Our team supports each client with:

  • Choosing the most suitable product.
  • Technical sizing.
  • International logistics (Incoterms, customs, transport).
  • Post-delivery support and implementation training.

Absolutely. Our composites are designed to withstand the most demanding environments:
