Guardrails, railings, and fencing in GRP/FRP

Limitations of Traditional Guardrails

Galvanized/Painted Steel

Steel railings are ubiquitous but suffer from rapid corrosion in humid, coastal, or industrial environments. Rust weakens the structure, detracts from its appearance, and necessitates costly repainting every 3-5 years. Steel conducts electricity, creating a deadly hazard in case of contact with power lines. The significant weight complicates installation and increases the load on supporting structures.

Aluminium

Aluminum is lighter but remains conductive and susceptible to galvanic corrosion. It deforms under impact (cars, falling objects) and offers limited rigidity. Its high thermal conductivity makes it scorching hot in the sun and freezing cold in winter, reducing comfort and safety to the touch.

wood

The wood rots, cracks, and is attacked by termites and fungi. It requires toxic chemical treatments (creosote, fungicides) and regular maintenance (staining, painting). Its lifespan is limited to 10-15 years in humid environments. It is flammable and can spread fires.

Concrete

Concrete is heavy, brittle, difficult to repair, and prone to spalling in freezing conditions. Its installation requires substantial foundations and heavy equipment. Aesthetics are limited, and customization is difficult.

GRP/FRP railings, balustrades and fences – Safety and durability

GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) railings, balustrades, and fences offer a modern, durable, and aesthetically pleasing solution for securing industrial, commercial, and public spaces. Manufactured using pultrusion or molding, these systems combine the strength of fiberglass with the chemical resistance of thermosetting resins, providing a superior alternative to traditional materials.

Our product range includes: Industrial railings (with or without grating), Stair railings, Safety fencing (GRP fencing, GRP fencing with panels), Protective barriers, Walkways, and platforms with integrated railings. Available in various heights, configurations, and colors (yellow, gray, green, upon request).

Frequently asked questions

At MJS NEGOCE, we understand that choosing composite materials for your projects can raise many questions. To best support you, we have compiled answers to the most frequently asked questions from our clients. This section is designed to provide you with clear and transparent information about our GRP/FRP products, our lead times, warranties, and technical support. Our goal is to eliminate any uncertainty and allow you to make confident decisions, knowing you are working with a reliable and experienced partner.

What are your delivery times? Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast

Yes. All our GRP/PRV composites are certified according to ISO and ASTM standards. Each batch is audited and inspected before shipment. We guarantee complete traceability of raw materials and strict compliance with manufacturing standards.

Unlike steel, wood, or aluminum, our composites offer:

  • Complete corrosion resistance (ideal for coastal or industrial areas).
  • Exceptional lightness (75% lighter than steel).
  • A lifespan exceeding 50 years with virtually no maintenance.
  • Enhanced safety thanks to their non-conductivity (electrical and thermal).
  • Cost-effectiveness over the entire lifecycle, as maintenance costs are minimized.

Yes. We don't just sell materials. Our team supports each client with:

  • Choosing the most suitable product.
  • Technical sizing.
  • International logistics (Incoterms, customs, transport).
  • Post-delivery support and implementation training.

Absolutely. Our composites are designed to withstand the most demanding environments:

  • Coastal environments: resistance to salt water and sea spray.
  • Chemical plants: immunity to acids and solvents.
  • Humid areas: durability without rot or corrosion.
  • Sun exposure: integrated UV protection.

We work with a wide range of clients:

  • Contractors and construction companies.
  • Design offices and engineers.
  • Public organizations and NGOs.
  • Private investors seeking sustainable and competitive solutions.
